The ability for Oregon and Wisconsin residents to participate in bird dog trial events is at risk.
Speak up before these two states can establish laws banning the bird dog trialing events. We need to help support our bird dog friends in these states and make sure another state, perhaps your own state is next.
As we are all passionate about our dogs and freely enabling them to exhibit their true instincts comes first.
Many of our bird dog trial friends make a living at training their dogs and other’s dogs. This can truly jeopardize their chosen career.
Politians who likely know very little or care to know about this have a legimate bill to vote on that can easily make life miserable for out bird dog friends in these states.
We may not be residents of these states and realize that our say may not have any sway of the outcome. But let your signature show your support.
Bird Dog Trial Events account for many past time hours of fun and enjoyment but not for us, but for our dogs. For many who have never hunted or trialed over a dog, they will never know.
They will never know the true feeling of watching their dog range and lock in on a scent and stand firmly. These are the moments their dog lives for…if they had a dog.
With other 22,000 bird dog trial events annually, this does pose a problem. Wisconsin has 61 days of field trial planned. Oregon has 59 days of events planned. These are just field trial events only.
